I just got this piece, I think its some type of brian but I could be wrong, any help is appreciated!

im almost positive that its a blasto of some sort

I haven't heard many common names for these; they are usually referred to by their scientific name. It is sometimes shortened to "Blasto", which could be considered a common name.

I just saw one listed as a "lace coral". I have also heard them referred to as moon coral. But, if you walk into a store and ask for a "lace" or "moon" coral, you will either get a weird look or a ton of results. If you walk into a store and ask for a "Blasto/Blastomussa", assuming they are halfway knowledgeable, they will know what you are talking about.
