Hi Randy,
this may seem like a crazy question but....
would the same results be obtained from a rate of one drip per second full strength Kalkwasser or a weaker solution at a faster rate of say two drops per second.

The limiting factor in limewater addition of course relates tot eh tank pH. The reason that slow is better is two fold:

1. It allows the tank more time to suck CO2 into it to offset the high pH of the limewater, so the tank overall doesn't rise as much in terms of pH.

2. It prevents locally high pH areas from forming that could cause precipitation of CaCO3/ MgCO3, and other things.

In both cases, adding more dilute limewater at a faster rate is fine.
