Hi all

Anyone know of a good online resource for educating myself about different corals and sponges?

Thanks!

right here on reef central is about the best place. Go over to the coral forum and start asking questions.

Well, I was really more interested in reading about different characteristics of each, along with photos for comparison.

All I have really found in the forums is discussion among members who already own and propagate corals, with not many photos for comparison. I am looking for something more formal than forums. I need to start from the base level! :)

I've got a couple of good books that you could borrow, The Reef Aquarium (Vol 1&2), by Delbeek and Sprung, kinda heavy reading, but a lot of good information, and also A Practical Guide to Corals For the Reef Aquarium, lots of pictures, care tips, lighting & flow requirements, etc. If interested in borrowing, let me know and I can drop them off next time i'm in B/N.

Schmoeger6, thank you so much for the offer of loaning your book to me. That was very kind!! But, I think I'll have to pass because I would worry about being slow to return your book in a timely fashion, and also because when I get a book for situations like this, I like to keep it on hand permanently so that I can reference it when needed. I am also yellow-highlighter happy!!

But, thank you again for the offer!!!!!!!!!!
