Randy, I have some ro water with nothing in it(just H20)
I recently put some mangesium sulphate inside it to slowly drain to the tank raising magnesium.
I want to put in some iron for my macroalgae. Is it possible with the magnesium sulphate in there?
So i got-
ro water
with some magnesium sulphate
Can I add some iron?
Thanks Box :)

Chelated iron should stay soluble in that solution. :)

How much should I put inside for my macroalgae to grow good?
The top off is a 5 gallon bucket. I see roughly about 2.5 gallons a day top off draining. Wich is full all the time. So i got 2.5 gallons approximately a day draining in the tank.
The iron is derived from ferrous gluconate (Fe+2). The concentration is 10,000 mg/l.
It would help me out if I knew how much iron to add in ml. As I have the salifert syringe handy.
Thanks !

I'd dose about 0.25 mL per week that way. :)

Wow, the bottle says one cap per week, wich looks like 2ml. Its Seachems flourish Iron for freshwater.
You think thats high for a marine aqaurium?
Im under the impression that iron gets used up so rapidly in the aquarium by photosythetic organisms that .25ml would just dissapear in 5 minutes. True?

I do not know what factors determine freshwater dosing, but I would add the amount that I suggested. Each addition will boost the tank to way, way more than natural levels of iron.
