I had a fire a while back and haven't done a larger tank since I had a fully stocked 75gal reef and my timer cased an electrical fire destroying that tank and killing bot my bimac octoand my vulgaris. currently I have a seventy five gallon discus tank that i am going to take down and convert into a reef. I havent dont a large reef in a whil and was just wondering what I should do for power heads basically how many?
Id apprecaite any help thanks

2 Seio 820's should do the trick.....................unless you want to shell out the cash for Tunze's.............
Steve :D
A cheap alternative to the Seios would be some MJ1200's on a Chauvet light timer w/ the mod. to take the switching time down. I think one on each end would do the trick. I have this setup on my 55 FO and it really puts out some alt. current.

2 Seio 820's would be good and you could probably throw a MJ 1200 in there somewhere.. Maybe hide it in the rocks to get a bit extra flow or try to get some flow behind the rocks.

seio's are a powerhead that put out good water movements...do a search on the net for them....
