ive read places that say the white balance cant be adjusted and some say it can? anyone have one thats willing to share some info? is this a decent entry level cam or should i get something else. thanks brandon

It has white balance presets and I believe the ablilty to do a custom white balance.
This is the list of white balance presets (taken from dpreview.com)

• Auto
• Incandescent
• Fluorescent
• Direct Sunlight
• Flash
• Cloudy
• Shade
• Preset (Measure and Use Photo)

Looks like the Preset/Measure is a custom W/B.

Can do custom white balance. I really like the D-50, although if you have the money you may want to consider the D-70s.
