I'm looking for some people to fill some vacant positions.

Preferably some punk *** that doesn't know **** and doesn't care to ever know ****. Comes in late everyday. Everyday as in the days he/she does decide to show up on. Does as little as possible and complains about it as much as possible. Come by the shop and pass out in front by the door in a pool of your own vomit and I'll tape a application on your forehead. :D

You must have hired people from the same employment agency that my employer uses!
Hillary Clinton was right about today’s younger generation and she shouldn’t have apologized for it.

Sorry I didn't respond right away. I was busy throwing up.

To answer your question, No but as long as you go some place else at lunch you knock yourself out.

You know you'll miss me... I'm the only one who shows up on time... well.. atleast I call you if I'm gonna be late. And you'll miss my kid's stroller in the doorway :p I sent an e-mail to a prime candidate. He'll probably show up all pumped only to find out I'm one of the ones leaving. But there's a bonus... he's got a truck... so what if he'll just block the counter... he's in there for atleast two hours every trip... might as well get paid for it!!! teeheehee

I wasn't implying anything about anyone. Seems we have some guilty consciouses.

Very guilty, indeed... Must be the water out there... We steal candy from babies in Nashville and feel good about it.

My 18 year old son is looking for a job. He's never taken the slightest interest in my tank so he qualifies on the knowledge part. He's pretty dependable and usually on time, though so that wouldn't work. He'd be great at catching fish if you could manipulate them with a game controller. He'd be good at coming up with zingers and snappy answers to stupid questions but he usually doesn't out right complain.

Wow ... a guilty conscious would drive you unconscious and would be even worse than a guilty conscience. What do you do to those poor guys in there, Dave?

i think it's the tazer gun..... seems to render them totally submissive to to his demands/desires....

I've always suspected it was a more serious form of psychological abuse ... but maybe you're right :eek1:

I have my own 15 year old version that will be working during the summer.
I don't think I could handle it in stereo.

The biggest obstacle between me and someone that works for me will be "stupidity." I'm fine with ignorance but I don't handle stupidity very well.

If that were true no one would ever show up late and miss work.

I do use a Tazer on them but it's not used as a form of subjugation, it's just fun.

He's certainly not stupid, but I think he'd be apathetic and therefore lifeless until someone told him specifically what to do.

We're crossing our fingers for EB Games. He's applied and interviewed there and would be great with that environment.

He just graduated from HS and I told him that if he doesn't find a job pretty quick he needs to come up with something productive so he doesn't sit on his butt here all summer waiting for college to start. He's rather find a job than have me put him to work around here. I've got looooootttts of yardwork that is calling his name.

That's just his age and that's why we have the Tazer.

I really want someone that is a avid hobbyist or someone that would like to be.

I agree ... enthusiasm is important to help sales. Customers expect the person working there to be knowledgeable and will be more likely to buy if they trust the advice they're getting.

I wasn't really suggesting my son as a prospect, but I would like to know where I can get a tazer in case the EB Games job doesn't come through.

I have a 2 year old that can identify Nemo, likes to stick his arm in the sump, enjoys the taste of tankwater, and often runs in circles..... come to think of it, that pretty much describes Patrick. Only Xander doesn't play with his own poo.

If you see Dave's standard tanks being swapped out for deeper ones you'll know. But I think there would have to be a tropical theme for the store dress aswell. String bikini's :bounce2: and a trampoline!

You work 20 hrs a week? You know that's the quick way to the grave, right? Anything over 6 hours a week is asking for trouble. I don't know how you do it...
