Anyone using one? Are these things Temp calibrated well at the factory? Theres a 1.5 degree difference in the temp monitor Im using now and the controller. I tested the Old digital in a cup of ice water a couple months ago and it was within .5 of 32 deg.
Basically, Im wondering how accurate the temp on the controller is. I could take the probe out of the chiller and test, but wanted to see what I get here first since its a hassle.

If you really want to know give 'em a ice bath at the same time.

As long as you have something that is fairly accurate to check with it's only really important that the controller is consistent.

I've often wondered if the contact method of some probes would lead to slight inaccuracies. I could some lag because of it.

It seems the controller is pretty accurate...I re-tested the digital and it was about 1-2 degrees off. Talked to a HVAC friend that deals with them all the time and there pretty accurate from the factory according to him. Tank has been a constant 81 since installing...gotta love that:D
