I have a Maroon Clown that thinks my Open Brain coral is it host. So I went to the store and bought a Saddleback Anemone since it looks the closest to my open brain. Does anyone think that the clown would ever move? It has not damamged the coral yet, but I seems to really love the coarl and keeps cleaning up the area.
Thanks
Howie

My ocellaris clown that were in my previous setup loved their open brain as well, totally ignoring a perfectly adequate LTA. The brain wasn't fond of the attention at first, but soon got used to the (sometimes not-so-gentle) clowns. I tried moving the coral, and rearranging the live rock, but she eventually found the brain's new spot every time...
I'm not familiar with that type of anemone, so I don't know if it would be accepted by your maroon. I hope this helps a little...

That is how my clown looks. The saddle is also called a carpet.

What color is the carpet and how big is it. Carpets generally take a while for a clown to start hosting it, but in some cases they swim right over to it and begin to host.

and sometimes the carpet will eat the clown and other fish in the tank :bum:
