I currently have a RESUN DMS-400, which is a 16G (nano cube). My tank came stock with 2 lights (mini compact fluorescent bulbs). one is 10K and the other is an actinic 03 bulb, and both are rated at 18W. I have red mushrooms, and green mushrooms. My green mushrooms are placed about 4" below the lights, and the red mushrooms are placed about 7" below the lights. My question is, are these good places to palce my mushrooms? are my lights strong enough? i know water filters light output, but are my mushrooms getting enough light? my nitrates are at 0, and my PH is at 8.3. water temp is usually stable at 80F, and i have a low indirect current running through my tank. When i first bought the green mushrooms they were huge, but i rearranged my liverock and i think they got stresses beacsue they have shrunken a little. thanks in advance for any comments.
