I like a good old fasioned 5 minute or so FW dip. I've also found long term baths at 1.009-1.010 can be effective also, but take longer. Trichlorfon, and it's various trade names, work well, but why play with pesticides when just water will work :D

BTW I've been seening a lot of fluke infestations with recent imports up here. Wondering if you might be seeing some of the same down there?

Poop just have to say yes. I wish I remembered where I read it,but the eggs can live up to 2-3 days in fresh water.
Right now I'm being taught under a subject that was taught under Dan Cristopher. He worked with salinity(oops spacific gravity) like you say. 1.012 a week later 1.008 for one week then back up. Refractometers are recomended!!!
With the fact that stores are getting hit and some will not stop selling. I just would like to give a part solution. REMEMBER YOU SHOULD ALWAYS Q YOUR FISH!!
