View Full Version : What's going on around here?

I swear checking these forums everyday is becoming more of a soap opera than I care to be around. I joined here to gain insight and share experiences with local reefers. Not much of that around here. Seems like the most active members are more interested in complaining and stirring up trouble than anything else. I feel like I am in a chat room with a bunch of high schoolers. I guess what I am saying is that I am done with this crap. So long CIMA, have fun with your "mutiny" and good luck.

If you take most of this too seriously you will get an ulcer. However; it does seem a bit Days of our Lives around here :)

It is what the people make it.

Good, bad, and in my case, pointless.

You guys do understand that the whole Mutiny thing was a big joke right?!? I think pretty much everything that was said in that thread was said in jest. Perhaps Henry didnt take it that way...but that is how I read all of that. Though it is sometimes hard to tell how people truely feel reading text....

What no mutiny? Oh man and I had my swashbucler patch and pantaloons all ready to storm the bridge. I guess I could just go to Long John Silvers and have a fish and more platter.

This place makes me bang my head against the wall sometimes, I think I'm going to bow out for a while as not to many people on here seem to be able to read between the lines.

Brad, FWIW, I don't think you're much of a protagonist.
If anything, you're just caught in the ripple sometimes.

SMORROW does present a valid point. The last few
months it seems like civility and respect have
gotten shortchanged on occasion.

It's now cost the group at least 2 of the people
it was formed to benefit. It's a little saddening.

I would have to agree with Lowell on this one. But I have faith in this club and its members, I know we have something good here.

I'm taking a break too.

>"If you take most of this too seriously you will get an ulcer"<
Blooper, just my opinion of course, but "maybe" it shouldn't be posted as opposed to forcing folks to wade through it. This is "specialist" topic driven forum. Not a chat board.

Too much drama here imho. :thumbdown

And I'm not learning anything, which is worse.

My best wishes to the majority of members and to CIMA.

Done before I've really begun. Oh joy.

Actually, it's both topic driven and chatty driven. There are
several forums focused on various "specialist" subjects.
This particular forum, as are several like it, is for members
of a generally common geographic area to ask particular
questions and/or partake in general discussions. Yes, in
recent months there's been more "drama" than might be
desired, and sometimes the signal/noise ration isn't as
great as you'ld like. However, even at the worst extremes,
all you generally need to do is not worry about it. After
a while you can kinda realize who's posts are worth
reading versus skipping or ignoring. Heck, I stopped
reading my posts months ago.
