First want to thank greystreet41 for the frogspawn. It looks and is doing great! Thanks!
How fast a grower is frogspawn? I really like the movement and color of it. Does anyone ever target feed it and with what? If anyone is ever looking to be rid of a large colony of it please keep me in mind.

I finally moved my 30 gallon into my 65 gallon tank I have had sitting in my garge since valentine's day. So lottsa space now. :)
I may even get some fish now.

It grows in 2 ways...it's heads will split and you will also see tiny new growth spots along the main branch of the coral. As for growth rate, I don't know. I've heard/read different things. I think of it as a moderate paced grower--for me anyways. I have not ever target fed mine. Glad you like it...it's an easy to keep piece that's pretty easy to be a fav.

Do you have a pic of your colony? How large was it when you got it? How big is it now? How long have you had it? Sorry for all the questions.

When I got mine from casey, it was starting to split in two. I picked it up on a Thursday. By the weekend, it split in two. By one week period, one of'em split again into two. By the second week, the other one did the same as well. That's when I dump the undissolved particals ontop of'em ending up almost killing them. It killed one of the newly split heads. So I end up with 3. But they give me 6 little babies all the way around on the bottom stalk. They haven't done much since then....That was about 2 months ago when I picked them up. :)

Casey thanks for the frags, they are real nice!

Titanfan, I have had Frogspawns, and Candycane corals in the past. I have experienced slow to extremely fast growth depending on the environment. If the coral is unhappy you may not see any splitting, and if it is happy you may get a split every month. And when they are really happy you may get a 4 way split. I have had my frogspawn go from 4 heads to 16 in one year, and my Candycane went from 2 to 12 in the same time.
I target fed my Frogspawn brine just for fun, and never noticed any change in growth speed.

Congrats on getting a great coral! Enjoy watching it grow as well.

I have a large (6 heads) green branching hammer I would part with for $40 but I've have to get rid of it soon because I'm leaving for the Army on Sunday.

Maybe you could meet me at the Airport Sunday afternoon?

Here's a year old pic.

Let me know if you're interested.....

I would like the hammer but, I know you have alot to take care of right now besides selling someone a coral that you have yet to meet. I don't want to be a problem for you or one more thing to take care of before you leave. Would it be easier for you if I came by your house Friday or Saturday night? If Sunday is best thats fine. I just don't want to get in the way.
