woohoo....

Had FIOS Internet for over a year now but FIOS TV just became available.

canceled COX cable right away. I hated their HD-DVR anyway.

With FIOS TV, since its all fiber optics hope quality is much better.
I got base package at $35, plus $14.95 for HBO channels (10 ?), and another $12.95 for their HD/DVR.

Fios TV is a little bit cheaper compared to COX's.

Whenever Tivo comes out with an HD version, I guess I'll get that and return Verizon's DVR. Meanwhile its $12.95 to rent Verizon's.

Anyone else got Verizon FIOS TV ? and their DVR ? Hope the menu interface is better than COX's.

With Verizon Fios broadband Internet, I'm getting 15 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload. $45 per month. My employer is paying for it though. :)

When they dug up my front yard 2 years ago to put in fiber optics line, I didn't like it then but now I'm glad they did.

Did you have the FIOS broadband before the FIOS TV? I'm wondering if it will slow down the broadband at all. I have only FIOS broadband and am waiting for the TV availability so I can get rid of my pitiful Dish Network service.

Yes I had FIOS broadband before (one year). I wondered about that too and the technician said no it wouldn't degrage or slowdown the broadband at all. I think the technician said something like "we don use splitters, its all new lines from the fiber box" whatever that means. In any case, I'll do some speed test of the broadband just to make sure.

I still have DISH too. I subscribe to DISH just for one International programming channel, GLobo TV (Brazilian channel) . $25 a month.

Got to keep the wife happy.
No one else but Dish has this Brazilian channel.

FIOS should be able to run internet, tv, and 5-6 phone lines without slowing down. I can't wait until it comes here.

I just read in our local Gazette that Verizon is going to sue to allow them to provide FIOS TV in Montgomery County. Apparently Comcast has a lock hold on wired television programming. Outrageous!!!
