IMO yes they are worth buying. I have one in our clubs frag tank and the corals just love the flow from it.

definitely worth buying if you need the flow ... I bought one and ended up givin' it to a buddy because my mushroom's, zoo's, and frogspawn/torch coral didn't like it.

I have 2 in my tank. Seio 1100's. If you want to run these on a wavemaker don't bother. They won't work. I would recommend the Maxi-Jet model. I use 2 of the MJ 1200's. The Seio's really flow. I have them mounted to magfloats. You can see them here:

Others have mounted them using some of the hardware that comes with the pumps that enables them to swivel on the mag floats. Really cool. They are fairly large and heavy and as such the suction cups don't work worth beans in my opinion.

Regards,

Pat

Ive got two of them and they work really good on moving the water around. Wish I would have gotten the 1100s or 1500s and not the 620 because the 620 doesn't seem like alot of flow.

Seio pumps are made by TAAM. Here is my opinion http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=805790
about their customer service. When they will not even reply to you that tells me how much they care about their established customers. I will never buy another product made by this company nor would I recommend that anyone else do so.

I bought two when i started my new setup a 1500 and an 1100, the 1100 is working well still, the 1500 went back becouse it was rattling, couldnt get another 1500 so took to 820's instead, had the same trouble with them both, only way i could stop the rattle was to break them down and take the casing off them and turn the flow down to the minimum, might as well have powerheads in they are down so low, but i cant afford tunzes at the moment shame eh.

they are excellent for flow, but every once in a while the 820 starts shaking the whole tank. I have removed it and cleaned everything, but it still does it. I have a brand new one sitting in a box, and I am going to see if this one does the same.

IMO they are some of the best money can buy... I have two 620's in my 30L along with a mag 5 pushing the return and I have great flow
