Hello again. Recently I purchased a devil's hand, I introduced it into the tank and since then it has been quite pale. I got worried and tested my water. All the tests were good. The following corals I have in my tank are hammer, a toadstool, frogspawn, zoos and gsp's. All of these following corals are really heathy, except the devils hand. I have 20" 96watt coralife pc's, AC 100 with the refugium mod and a powerhead 301 and the AC for water flow. I will try and get a pic of it's discoloration, but for now if anyone one has some advice that could help this poor little devils hand it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

How long has it been in the tank? They can take several days to adjust and start looking good. It's not melting away or have white spots on it, does it?

It looks pretty pale, not yet melting away. What would be the cause of that if it was melting?

i wouldnt worry too much. i have a devils hand and if touch it, it can stay shrivled up for a couple for weeks, then it sheds, and then it opens up and gets its color back.

Really? Yeah I have been moving it around to find a good place for it.

my leather use to do that for about a week before shedding, it did that every 45-50 days. I wouldn't worry too much but beware if it starts to melt like fishwife1 said.

Well what is the problem if it starts to melt?
