my wonderful bride of 18 years has of late noticed my great joy in reefkeeping and insisted on entering into it so we would had a shared hobby,oh joy oh bliss. i scratch built her a tank for the kitchen with sump all very tastefull i might add,as her knowledge grows my tank gets depleted, first it was rock and minor extra corals. the honeymoon is over, while im at work she has artfully exchanged her rock for mine and swiped my stuff!!!!as the saying goes whats mine is hers etc. sheesh i would have complained but hey what ya gonna do

Good luck complaining, won't get you anywhere but the doghouse and she'll still swipe your stuff!

Glad to see we have another reefer in our club!

Start a new hoby, say baking, and take over her kitchen. :D
(I am assuming the kitchen is hers by the tank placement.)

It could be worse, she could think your reef aquarium obsession is ridiculous and not support your hobby. Just look at all the things you can purchase for "the two of us." Isn't love grand!http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/love/love0063.gif

Promise us you won't argue about substrates...the divorce rate is still way too high.

I wish I could get my wife more involved....no, cancel that, I don't want her to find out how expensive this hobby is....

Maybe that is just it. Perhaps she thinks it is ridiculous and is stealing your stuff to irritate you. Hmmmmmmmm.

So your spouse steals your stuff and you're complaining? It just gives you carte blanche to go to the LFS and restock your tank with whatever you want! Sounds like a win-win thing to me.
