Transfer boxfish

Is it o.k. to transfer boxfish from acclimating to tank with a net? or should they not be exposed to air like puffer? If so how do you transfer so water does not enter tank? In case there are poisons in water from boxfish?

I have never had a box or trunk fish, but I would get as little of the water into tank as possible. Transfer using a container and keep pouring water out and adding more tank water. When you satisfied pour out as much water out as possible without stressing fish. Then dump whatever is left into tank.


PS--I think with toxic fish it is best to be running fresh carbon before and during addition.
