I set up a refugium today it's 10 gallon, which is large enough (considering my main tank is a 30 gallon) My main question is, i'm aware that i have too much wattage over the 10 gallon, I'm running 13 watts a gallon with both fixtures on, can i just cut back the amount of time the corals spend under it ? or will the intensity cause problems?

thanks

How deep is your tank? with a 30 gal you either have a cube that i believe is 24" tall or something diff. Watts per gallon doesnt mean anything. It all depends on what kind of watts. Is it PC, MH,VHO, or what? IF its PC then just keep it at normal pc wont hurt anything. MH just watch for bleaching in your corals and go with what they think. With VHO its the same as PC they wont mind the extra light.

thanks yeah, i've got 6 watts per gallon Metal halide in my main tank with an extra 2 watts per gallon VHO.

On the refugium its 13 watts per gallon with Power compacts.
