I've heard, not so good things about them, but I must say, it seems plenty powerful, perhaps it's a revised version:
12 gallon
1x27 watt PC daylight
1x27 watt PC actinic
2 moonlights
cooling fan
4 chambers, last chamber has a pump that's super quiet
top grating on 1st chamber is totally open, allowing for (seemingly) good surface skimming.
150$, which is replacing my leaking 5 hex
A used Fission skimmer was tossed in, which is where I have some questions:
The instructions on building it are fine, but placing it in the back chamber is....well, I'm lost.
What's the best way to work with the Fission?
I'm not adverse to drilling in to the back of the lid, I could put some kind of stand along skimmer on the table next to it, and plumb it back into the tank. Any suggestions for a moderately priced stand-along skimmer?
