Nice. Every time I see black sand, it makes me want to get some.

nice nice... I just added on a refugium to my nano... well actually working on it right now... check it out incase you have any ideas for me...
http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=805501
let me ask you this... if the refugium is open to natural light... and is also under 12 hour a day florescents that are in my showroom, would that be enough to add Cheato, Mirco Algea, or Seaweed?
Once you see my thing that I made you will understand why I ask...

IMO that would not be enough light for any growth it may keep it alive but its hard to say.Is there any way u could do a HOB fuge or a sump/fuge?then u could put a light directly over it.

I know I could get a light on top and hide it pretty well... I am thinking of not covering that area anyway, so I could jsut customize the top... what would be the minimum required light?

I run a coralife 18watt PC on my nano and a 25 watt pc on my 75 GAL. The 18 watt has a 10000k and a actinic and the 25 watt is a 6500k single bulb. You could check ebay they have some deals from time to time. But IMO the coralife is the best bang for the buck and it's small roughly about 9'' long 4"wide 2"tall.I got it from my LFS for 30 bucks. The other light I have is a cheap adjustable desk light with a 25watt screw in PC bulb that was about 14 bucks for the two items.
