how big should my tank be if i would like to keep one of these long term.. and is there any chance i can get a rbta with it as well?wut woudl be the reccomended tank size inorde to house both of them? tia.

Carpets can grow pretty large. I think you can keep a carpet in a 20 long, but you won't be able to keep much else. but your lights have to be good. They love MH and T5's. But you could get away with a decent amount of PCs

I was just given a very huge carpet anenome a couple of days ago. It is my understanding that the original owner had some really good pc lights, it did very well for him for about 6 months then started to look unhappy so he gave it to someone who had VHO (I believe it was icecap 660 watts) he kept it about 8 months and again it started to look unhappy, so now it is in my 90 gallon under 400 watt MH lights we will see but he looks beautiful and is starting to look very happy.

what do you guys think the minimum tank size woudl be to keep a rbta and a carpet?
