japanese pistol shrimp & YWG?

does anyone have any experience with these two? I saw a good deal on a pistol shrimp so I went for it, but now I see that liveaquaria.com labeled them as "might pair up with compatible gobies." Do you think my YWG might pair up with the japanese pistol?

Also, would it attack my sexy shrimps? Pistol and sexies hang out at the opposite side of the tank. (29g).

I'm debating wether to return him or not, if he's a threat to my sexies and won't even pair up with the YWG.

Check out my tank. I've got a YWG with a pistol shrimp. I don't know if mine is a "japanese" shrimp....but there is a pic of them in my post - so take a look and see if it is like yours. My shrimp and YWG paired up instantly!

they are completely ignoring each other at this point... kinda disappointed, but it stirrs around sand all over the tank so i might keep it around.
