How to frag in tank?

I have a couple soft corals I will need to frag b/c they are starting to grow too close to my other corals.
I will need to frag some green polyps(the green grass) and some xenia? How can I go about this without removing them from the tank? My problem is that they have attached to rocks which I cannot remove.

Just pull the xenia off the rock. Try to pull very slowly because any tissue left on the rock will regrow new xenia. Then use a rubber band to attach it where you want it. The green star polyps need to be chipped or broken off the rock

I agree, but you might also want to scrub the rock a little where they were attached. I always get stuff growing back:mad2:
