Any MV ballast for Iwasakis?

Since Iwasaki bulbs are meant to run on MV ballasts, could I just get a local hardware store to rig up a generic MV ballast and have it run properly with the bulb? Or would I need to use a MV ballast that is actually designed to run the Iwasaki for best results? Thanks in advance...

Thanks dattack. I know the Iwasaki will fire on a MH ballast, but the color comes out more yellow. I just wasn't sure if that was also the case if you don't use the correct MV ballast.
