I'd like to get 0.01" lexan as shield for my T5 retro. Is hobby knife enough to cut it?

score it a few times w/ straight edge then place a piece of wood under one side and a quick snap should break nice if the blade does not go all the way thru

.........and a quick snap should break nice
this is not recommended with Lexan, it is allot more dense then acrylic and you have a greater risk of breaking the entire piece rather then the score mark. Lexan in 1/2" thickness is bulletproof up to a 50 cal.

You might not want to use lexan... although more dense, I believe it is more prone to scratching than cell cast acrylic. While you don't need a bulletproof light shield, you DO want it to be scratch resistant.
