I remember someone mentioning in a thread that they add kent turbo Calcium to their freshly made IO salt water. Was curious how much would be appropriate, say per every 5 gallons. Anyone else add anything to their freshly made IO salt water? Mg? Alk (doubtful)?

PS - Yes, I know I could figure this out myself through testing and various addition amounts, but I just wanted to see is someone else has already done it. Some may call this lazy :D I like to think of it as efficient by not repeating work already done by someone else.

I always test after making up IO, then use the reef chemistry calculator http://home.comcast.net/~jdieck1/chem_calc3.html to figure out my adds.
Normally I add calcium and magnesium.

Hmmm, now how is it that I've never come across this calculator before. Thanks!

i've been adding about 1 teaspoon of Preston Driveway Heat to about 25 gallons or so of freshly mixed water. It gets the calcium up to 400 or so.
