I've got some of these growing in high flow areas, and have really started around and on my powerheads. They are hard like a rock.

sessile tube worms. filter feeders. harmless unless your not paying attention and cut your hand/finger on them :)

Also, if you have some on a frag and put it in a bag it can poke a hole in it IME! Only negative I have noticed.

pretty cool if you stick your finger on them and they break off. Sometimes the blood just flows through them like a straw :lol:
