hey whats up fellas. my tank is reaching its height in terms of aging. it is 7 months old. Starting to grow coralline and some green algae, but along with that ive found three 1 inch patches of cynobacteria. What should i do?, should i just syphone it out?. I keep a pretty strict water change regimen. 60gal tank, 5 gal water change every week, ph 8.2, calcium is 460+, my nitrates are around 15 at the moment ( slowly dropping ), and my salinity is 1.025. Thanks.

i would siphon it out. have you got adequate circulation?? Usually find cyano taking hold in areas of low flow.

yeah they are in low flow areas. my circulation is 1,993 gph with a turn over of 33X per hour.
