Is it possible to use VHO bulbs on a regular florecent setup that comes with every tank ?

No, that won't work. NO Ballast or starters for will only drive NO bulbs. You would need a ballast designed for VHO bulbs to drive them.

You can, however run N.O. fluorescent bulbs on an IceCap electronic VHO ballast.
