I have a Gold Stripe Maroon Clown that is about 2 1/2 inches long, and he keeps butting my sun polyps and knocking them over. He also keeps picking at my elegance coral. Is there a reason for this? He used to be in a tank by himself with live rock and I just recently added corals. Is he being territorial? Do you think he will stop, because I don't want him to kill my corals.

Are the corals near his host ? I have a pair of the same maroons and their host is a RBTA and she removed or tried to clear about a at least a six inch area around her host, I can't put anything around it. How big's you tank ? Maybe since it was in there with just live rock it has staked the whole tank as its territory. In smaller tank I have heard many clownfish and damsels doing this. If possible if this is concern the whole tank I would remove the clown temporily.
