OK, now that I've had time to think this overnight, I've decided I may not have enough light for the clam, although Anita tells me it should be fine at the top of my tank. Not a good clam for my 1st. Also, I looked over the size ot the gorgonian & I just don't have room. Back to zoos for me! I'm such an addict...

Puffer,Just get a 250 watt Metal Halid.then you can put anything you want in your tank.The diy's sell here all the time.All you need is one.Use a fan to evap about two gal. a day and you dont need a chiller.

Thanks, been over that w/hubby. Our electric bill is close to $200 already w/my 8 tanks. He said I'd have to loose 2 other tanks for MH. My other corals are doing fantastic, just have to give up a few things w/o MH, that's all.

I have been to sharkysreef.com and I was really impressed with the corals, but I prefer to buy my corals in person. I want to see what I am going to get before I drop the cash! Does anyone know where this place is located. Can you only buy from them online or can you go and hand pick things? Are they in the Chicagoland area?

They have a home-run business, like Jimmy's Reef. You have to make an appt to go there. They are near Gurnee, I believe.

I go there at least 2 times a month and I highly recommend them. Not only great corals and prices but very nice people to deal with.

Sharkey Reef is just off Route 45 and Grand Ave. Technically Lake Villa, IL. 15 min. away from Gurnee Mills.

Well, she delivered my stuff today. Way bigger frags than I expected (only ordered 1/4 frags) & even threw in a really cool freebie!

I canceled the clam & gorgonian. My eyes are bigger than my tank! Got 4 zoo frags (+1 freebie) & a nice blasto frag.
