I was going to get a 30brd or 30 cube and put 1 large angel and 3 smaller ones together.
Not sure on species as of yet.

To my understand ALL angels are hermaphidites (sp) so the large should become the male and the smaller ones remain female correct?

I dont think that 30 gallons will be enough space. These fish are highly territorial.

Specifically, they need VERTICAL space. Part of their courtship display involves a lot of vertical movement in the water column. Frank Baensch uses 55 gal plastic drums as broodstock tanks because they have enough vertical space for the angels' spawning activities. And Stykthyn is right too - 30 gal is too small for that many.

I used to have a retail customer who's Centropyge argi were able to spawn in a 90 gallon (oceanic model).

FWIW,
