concrete blocks

anybody have there tank sitting on concrete blocks? we are going to put a tank in our basment but i would like it to be a little higher off the ground. i was thinking of laying them out like a hearth and then setting the stand on it. maybe put some linoleum flooring down for water spills and then box it in to finish

Greg Sheimer has his 10 foot reef aquarium sitting on cinder blocks and with two steel I beams spanning the space in between them. The concrete blocks should support it just fine as long as you get the tank/s level etc....

Hay if you need the blocks I have some you can have and you could get them when you look at the rock
