Got my MCE600 today from fedex (Actually brought it to me at work after he tried to deliver to my home). First impressions of this skimmer:

This thing is extremely quiet. It started making foam in the cup about 30 min. after i turned it on. Did i say how quiet this thing is.
My computer fan is louder than this skimmer. I will post some pics soon.

Is there a problem with having the intake tube on the skimmer hidden in the RR overflow??

I notice you have that on a 120g.. what kind of bio load?

please post some pics after you develop some skimate

At the moment i've not had any fish in the tank for almost 4 weeks. Running the tank fallow right now (got ich from DR.******& *****). But since it's been hooked up (around 5 p.m.) it has already produced about a cup of green tea. About the same color a bak-pak produced all the time. Gonna leave it at this setting for the next day or two then i will fine tune it. It's unreal how foamy the bubble's are at the top of the column.

But as far as bio-load i have 1 Clarki clown 2.5 in./ 1 true percula 2 in./ 1 coral beauty 3.5 in. /1 hippo tang 3 in./ 1 naso tang 3 in./ 1 dispar anthias 4 in. That is all the fish. The skimmer is rated for a 180 gal. normal stocked or 120 gal. heavily stocked.I will post pics Thurs. or Fri.

i would suggest leaving it on the 2 oclock for the first week

ok...I have emptied the cup twice now(it wasn't full, about half-way) I think i need to raise the cup as high as i can.

Here is the nog it produced today.Emptied cup this morning at 7:30 and emptied again at 5:00 p.m. It's getting darker every day.
