Ive had this feather starfish for about two weeks, so far it is doing ok. It did loose a little color at the tips of its legs. The other day it was moving across the sand and I noticed this wormlike thing on the under part of its body. I am almost positive that this is a bad thing. But I didnt want to take a tweezer to it till I talked to some people.

So, here are the pics, they are a bit blurry. It was moving quite fast.

What do you guys think?

Could be a parasitic crustacean worm.

You know it is difficult to keep basket stars alive in captivity, All they eat is plankton. You have to feed them every night.

Are you sure it's not a mouth part? And what have you been dosing/feeding.
