I'm on a business trip, I've had Quiznos for lunch every day for the last 7 days, and at least every other day for the 3 weeks before that. JMlee - Maybe you need to shop around for a better Quiznos? ;)

Me neither :D
Best sandwich is as follows:
Bread - Hearty Italian
Meats - Roast beef, turkey
Cheese - American, Provolone, or Cheddar, depends
Extras - Lettuce, tomatoe, sweet pepper (key), oil and vinegar (key)
Toasted - no (key)
So delicious.

I stopped eating at quizno's along time ago...and not for stomach aches and food poisoning.....but for the sheer fact that...one day I was getting my food....and the kid behind the stand picked his nose then proceeded to finish making my sandwich.....then passed my sub through the toaster and the kid on the other side decided that a booger for my sandwich wasn't enough..so he decided to sneeze next to it! so I ask for the manager and turns out the manager was the booger picker...so needless to say..I've not had another quizno's sub since that day!

It's pretty much the risk you take at any place. I especially prefer eating at home during the flu season because you'll alwyas find that sick restaurant employee spreading their germs for all to enjoy! You think you might feel safer at fancy expensive restaurants but do you realize how many employees your food goes thru before it gets to you!:eek2: My buddy is a chef who's worked at restaurants in the Hyatt, Marriott's and Sheraton and he's told me stories that have kept me from wanting to eat out again! Somehow, I still do!

One time I went into the bathroom at Taco Bell and an employee was lying on the floor next to the urinal. He quickly got up when I came in and he ran out. So did I. I've tried to image what he could have possibly been doing.. pushups, looking for a contact lens, etc. I figured it's best just to never go back.
Not all restaurants are bad. I worked at one that was consistantly voted cleanest in the area. I would have no problem eating there.

Did you report it to your local health department? Because around here in Los Angeles, they will inspect the restaurant you suspected got you sick, the next day. A couple of day's after, I get a call from the restaurant manager apologizing for me getting sick and offered me a free meal, like I want to eat at your place after you made me sick...yeah right!
When I reported it to the health dept, and told them what restaurant it was, they where a bit surprised, because they rarely ever have any problems with....McDonalds! :)

I had the same problem with buttered popcorn... Went to the movies, ate popcorn, later that night threw up stuff from 3 years back. My gawd, it was horrible. I only remember the taste of vomitty popcorn. I'll never eat popcorn again.
Every time I eat Papa John's pizza, I get stomach cramps and diarrhea. I don't know if it's an allergy or what, but my wife's the same.

hmmm...thats odd...all the taco bells around here have the taco assembly line right behind the counter in plain view. Plus, Taco Bell consistently gets the best Health Inspection reports...They say it's because everything comes in pre-cooked and pre-packaged...just zap it and go...no dirty grills or deep fryers...I feel safer eating Taco Bell than any other fast food joint.
FYI, for all the Subway fans...Subways often get in trouble w/ the health inspectors. You have to be very careful to keep all the pre-sliced cold cuts fresh.

McDonald IS in fact one of the better fast food places to eat. Did anyone else see the 60 minutes special on fast food and health code violations?
i think Taco Bell was the best and McDonald's number 2
Cutiewitbooty
02/09/2006, 08:49 PM
yeah the taco bells have the "line" which is where everyone makes the food. When it is really busy (and there is 3-4 people on 1 line) you can't do to much to the food, but when it isn't busy and there are only 1 or 2 people on the line it's not that hard to turn and do whatever you want to the food. trust me it happes, it's not pretty and spit isn't the only thing you should be worrying about.....like i said, be nice to the people making your food lol

the little cafe restaurants are the worst.
they either have frat boy students, some 40 year old looser virgin dude, or the goth chick that hates every one including her self preparing your food.
they get board, drop your stuff on the floor and watch you eat it.

As someone who has taken the Food Service Manager Certification course from my local Health Dept., I can say with certainty that it is NOT your stomach disagreeing with the food! Almost all food born illnesses are fecal-oral in origin. This means that the person preparing your food used the restroom and did not wash their hands properly or at all. The problem with a lot of food born illnesses is that many show up with "minor" symptoms, like cramps and diarrhea. Many people never make the connection. Don't eat there again!
