View Full Version : anyone know if Nudibranch is reef safe

Hi i came accross 5 nudibranch two purple one's with the yellow horns and tail , one black and white with the red horns and tail , one light blue with yellow horns and tail , one thats black white with bit yellow with maroon horns and tail.

Are these reef safe and will it do damage to my coral and zoos

I'd have to say stay away from them. Impossible to say for sure based on your descriptions, but just about any nudi that colorful is bad news in that they starve from a lack of their specific pray item.

If you have certain kinds of algae or flatworms getting out of control there are a few specific nudibranchs you can get to help. Even then its short term until the food supply gets low.
