I just transferred to a 450 gallon tank. In it there are two islands. for some odd reason all the fish hang out on one island. I have probably 15 fish or so. Is this odd behavior? Do you tink there is a predator in the other stack?

I've had this happen too except for the 450g part. I haven't really figured it out. Seems like it may have at least something to do with flow & where the food drops in.

I know my dominant anthias keeps the other anthias away from the side where I usually put their food. He doesn't spend much time on that end because he's in the middle of the tank protecting the "feeding side" from the other 2 anthias. So none of the anthias hang out on the feeding side of the tank.

Maybe your fish are wanting safety in numbers before they spread out more, since you said they haven't been in there long

That could be. Great theory.
