i was thinking on getting a 12 Gallon Nano Cube Deluxe Aquarium & LED an i wanted to no how much sand i need an i already have a 55 reef an i wanted to know if i could take some water out of the 55 and put it in the nano will i still have to cycle it an were could i get MH for the nano big diffrence from a 55 so i thought i better ask thanks

10 pounds of sand should be fine. You only need enough to cover the bottom (about 1" would be good). A DSB can't work in a nano tank that small.

Water won't stop a cycle. Water has very little bacteria in it, its the rock that has the bacteria. If your rock is already precured, then you should have a low/short cycle.

A 70w DE MH would be nice. There are some websites that sell premade retrofit kits. If you do run a DE bulb, make sure you have a glass shield on it for UV protection.
