new lights

finally i got my new lights hooked up tonight
i got 2 36'' 95watt vho with super actinic bulbs

i just tried them to see how they look so the corals are still closed
these are supplementing 2 175watt mh with 10k bulbs

woow, big different and it might take your corals on the top few days to get use tot he light. Looking good and thanks for posting the picture..

Yeah me too, that brain is pretty. Can't wait to get my setup going. Now I know what it will look like 10k and actinics. Are you using uri super actinics? What bran 10k bulb?

yeah that brain is probably my favorite, i got i when it looked like this from pet city:

those bulbs are uri super actinics with no internal reflector. i think the bulbs are ushio

you dont need mh, you could have them under vhos

i am going to better pictures of the tank tommorrow and one with just the vho actinics on. it looks just like a black light the corals look awesome

STOP IT STOP IT :( I am so frustrated. Just jking, that look awsome FRD. That trachyphilia looks great under those actinics. You can see the florescense of the rim on that is it a monti above what looks like a trumpet or candy cane. I can't wait to get setup and rolling.

What is that in the back left top corner FRD?

i think the one your talking about is my blue green favia. that is the intake to my closed loop in the corner
