i dont know about too much, but i think it is way overkill. you could just have one 440 and be fine. that would be plenty of light with the one bulb for any type of clam, sps

Ok,cool. Tell me how this sounds for lights. I just made two nice deals for lights. One is for a vho ballast that powers two 4ft vho(220w), and the other deal for two 175w MH setup. Figured I would use the VHO for actinic, and the MH for 10k daylight thus providing day/night effect. What ya think

I was going to just do the MH and use 14k bulbs, but it seems that the best growth is with the 10k supp with vho.

Yeah I saw it at the LFS for 100 + without lights. Mo, what ya think of the 2 175w MH setup for 250 shipped?

Oh guys sorry you have to add 4 more bucks to those prices, I made a boo boo on the math. Still very good deal.

Electronic ballasts are better but if you have small budget then you go with your budget. How old the bulbs ? There is a place in Williamsport somebody who is selling 3 MH ballast with bulbs used for $300 and they are 250 watts. Not sure what kind of deal is the one you found and what condition too.

MO, does it come with the sockets or reflector? I think I am getting a little carried away here, lol. Lets see options

(1)110 for the vho w/bulbs and shipping. If I go with the williamsport deal thats 300 (3 ballast w/bulbs), reflector at 114
(if 3 ballast dont have socket or reflector) for a total of $524 (ouch!!! that hurts so bad) can't do that.

(2)Now if I go with the 110 for the vho w/bulbs and shipping, 250 for the 2 175 (ballast, bulbs, and sockets), and 58 for the reflector total is $418 (ouch) doable but very tight.

(3) this option would be if option 1 MH came with sockets total would be $468 (ouchie *&^%$#@!@#)

or you can go with 2x175 MH retro

I have a 2 x 175 watt dual ballast, 2 reflectors, 2 sockets, 2 10k bulbs that need replaced, and 2 6400k bulbs that were only used for a few months. I'm looking to get $150 for everything.

Yo, Matt whats up? Thats a sweet deal that I would be more than happy to take :) . How soon till the 10k's have to be replaced, can I slide for about 2 or 3 weeks? That dual ballast, can each light be set on different timers?
