I have a question,

Why are MH bulbs at 4000K selling for $24 but a 6500K sells for $60 plus. Is this a scam on reefers or just a limited production equals higher cost? Or are they actually more costly to produce?

Thanks
Hartman

My understanding is that they are more expensive to produce do to the mix of the halides needed to come up with hte higher color temp as well as the lower production amounts which cause the cost to go up as well.

It is not just aquarium bulbs, if you check on Venture lighting they have blue MH bulbs that I believe coralife sold as 20,000k bulbs, which are about the same cost when purchased from venture or coralife.
