either cyano or asparagopsis. I have lots of asparagopsis and it is very fuzzy.

better question is what is your phosphate? nitrate?
any metal in the tank?
i have algea in my tank but guess what i found a piece of metal in my tank that is rusted from one of my kids brats toy
i had no algea and have been fighting it for about 2 weeks well see how it goes now
what kind of flow do you have in the tank?

my ph is 8.0 and my nitrates are 0-5.0..somewhere in between. I know I dont have any metal. My canopy is covered. On the flow, I havent had a chance to get any PH's yet. The rest of the tank is fine so far. I got the rocks from Arsenal11....not saying their is a problem, just want to know what it is.

No flow, then I'm betting money that it's cyano.

yeah, I do need some flow. I actually need to buy a couple powerheads, but dont want to really buy one "new".

Where about in Jerseyville are you? I'm not going this weekend but if my sister-in-law comes over, I'll send her home with a Maxijet or 2. She works at the school district office.

I got them for free so I'll charge you twice that. ;)
I'm not sure when I'll make a Jerseyville connection but I'll get them there when I do. I'll let you know when it will happen but if you find something else in the mean time, be sure to use it. Even a hang on freshwater type filter with no media will give you some flow.
