Does anyone know if you need to use the locline pliers to assemble the parts? I'm only going to need to make 4 connections. Seems like a lot of $ ($20) for what I'll be using it for.

thanks

Heh, heh, heh....
After I got my locline parts, I almost went out and bought the pliars. You certainly do not need them, but new locline parts take a lot of muscle to snap together / pull apart. Hope you've been eating your Wheaties.

Yeah sometimes you practically have to stand on them to get them to snap together! But it can be done...

thanks all, I'm going to do my best without them.

You'll have no problem. I was wondering the same thing until I found some locline at a LFS. While it's not *easy* to snap together, it isn't very difficult either ;-)

If you can't remove a twist off cap from a beer bottle, you might need the pliers.

I just snap the parts together.

I had absolutely no strength to do it on my own. :D For how cheap the pliers are and how simple they make the job I think they are worth it.

the pliers are very useful if you are unable to get good leverage on the pieces being assembled

I have to vote for the pliers and I don't think they are 20.00 at custom aquatic.

the pliers are only like $18 at savko ( at least they were when i bought them). they really make assembly fast and easy. spend the cash and save the skin on your hands.
