Use gate valves.......balls are a pain in the neck to adjust.....looks good

Thanks, I was thinking of using gate valves instead every since I read that A.Calfo adviced the use of gate instead of ball. Do you think I shuld use pvc for everything or should I use tubing as well. I am going to use a Durso setup in an internal overflow?

What is the valve on the right of macro algae for ?

The line coming out of the tank and going to sump should have a 90" on it that goes up to where the water leve should be and you don't need a valve there.

Union right after the pump to make it easy to connect and disconnect.

This looks like you will be watching your water level more often too because the way you have the hight of lines on the left of macroalgae is hight which means if you don't have your eyes on i tthen it will cause it to draw air.

good drawing..

To cut flow from pump to that chamber if need be, but i think I am going to delete that one. It wont be in at the start anyway. I think the drawing is crap but glad ya like it. all the valves will be added later not right now. Just getting it to wear i can run it when the tank gets here. dont want my guys in this 16 gal tub for more than a week.
