I have a Calcium Reactor capable of supplying calcium and alkalinity to a moderatly stocked 300+ gallon system.
Specs:
BODY
6 inch OD cast acrylic tube 1/8 inch wall
3/8 inch black cast acrylic base plate
3/8 inch black cast acrylic flange with Buna- O ring
6 tapped thumbscrews for flange
8 x 13 inch footprint (add a little extra for the plumbing)
Hold 8 pounds of Reactor Media comfortably, could use up to 10-12 pounds
23 inches tall
Tank water Inlet
1/2 inch tube barb adaptor
you need a Maxi-Jet 1200 or 900 and 1/2 inch tubing
CO2 injection
1/4 inch John Guest Speedfit
Reactor recirculation
tapped flange for 1/2 inch tube barb adaptor
You need a Mag-Drive 2 pump ( around 34 dollars)
or an Eheim 1250 pump (65 dollars)
Back to Tank
1/4 inch John Guest speedfit
you need RO tubing to get to your sump
Things not includes, that you will need.
1. Reactor pump (Mag or Eheim)
2. Maxijet 1200/900 feed pump
3. 1/4 RO tubing Can get at HD
4. Carbon Dioxide Bottle
5. Two Stage Regulator
6. pH monitor or controller
The only caveat is the flange seal is a little leaky. This is the only leak in the reactor
I think the original grove for the o-ring needs to be a little deeper. I dont have time to do this.
If you are not handy, it would work great in a sump.
This unit is identical to other commercially built units at a huge discount.
Looking for used/new ER skimmer around 20-25 inches tall, eheim 1250 pump, Majijets, T5 light set up, sps frags, seios.
