So my gsm's spawned about a week and a half ago and Im going to give a try at raising them and I have a question. I know the eggs hatch at night and heres my dilema..... I work nights. Would it be bad to shut down my overflow for the night so they all dont go for a wild ride? Id still have a small powerhead going, but I dont know if that would be enough circulation for a 55. Can I just take the rock that the eggs are on out of the tank in advance??? That way i dont have to chase the babies anyway?

YES, I would also suggest that if your gonna try to raise them you pick up J. Wilkerson's book on Clownfish, it will walk you thru every aspect of raising the young. Its quite a process, so be prepared to lose sleep and spend $$$

Yes, you can take the rock with the eggs on it out and put it into the fry tank. You should wait to do that until the day that they are going to hatch.
