I am looking for ideas on my 20 L cleaning crew. Any suggestions? Will have to be coral safe. Also when should i add them? My Ammonia level has dropped and the nitrite level is rising. After that drops and the nitrate rises, that when i do the 25% water change correct?

Corey, are you battling Algae, or just preparing to. Do you just need critters to clean your sand? i have never used many Hermits, but do have a handful of snails that have been in the tank for ages. At night I have alot of Stomettella snails that come out, and alot of Brisstle worms that scavenge for any left over food items....

Scott,
I am just looking for critters to keep the sand clean/rocks clean. I have a little algae growing on the rocks, but not much.

I prefer scarlet hermits and mexican turbos. The scarlet hermits aren't aggressive, live long, and do a good job cleaning detritus. The turbos are indiscriminate algae eaters. Both cost more but they live long and you need fewer of them. For a 20, 2 or 3 turbos and 4 or 5 scarlets would be fine.
