Yeah, what a nice camera you have to shoot that close up pictures. Very nice and I could not even see that much detail looking at them. How are they doing today. Thanks for sharing.

They are too cute!

You might want to supplement the available food in the sump with some newly hatched brine shrimp. The little fry babies might decimate the tiniest larvae quickly. They look hungry!

today, it looks that i lost a lot of them. i dont know if it was that we got them too late(i think 2-3 days after they were born) or if the overflow was too strong and they couldnt swim away. i found alot of them clinging up againist the overflow. i think because they didnt get enough food before they were too weak to swim away from the overflow, any thoughts?
But i did still see some ones that were alive. from what i see it looks that maybe 5 survived. i feed them brine shrimp and they seemed to liven up. i am going to leave the pump off so they dont have to fight the current at least for today.
here is the tank that they are in:

the overflow on the left has been slightly modified with a screen on it so that the babies dont go through it, but i think we have to make something better zooqi

sure we can and it was the last minute. The current that you had with two out shoud not pulled them but maybe they were dead and floated away to the screen. We can work on something better so lets get on it. I have to go and visit two costumers but will be home later.

just looked at them again and there is one that seems to be very lively and eating the brine shrimp, so i hope he makes it.
there seems to be 6 alive that i see and there was a couple dead on the overflow cover. but i definitely didnt see 38. is it possible that some are alive in the middle of the tank in the macro algea. i thought when they were little they all swam at the top of the tank but is it possible that some arent?

zooqi, i was thinking of something that would spread out the flow a lot better maybe using that "T" and putting longer peices of pvc with lots of holes in it instead of using bulkhead strainers.

I do have something for it but you might have some hiding. You think about it this way. We thought we had 15 -20 at sanjay where he did not have that much algae and then we found more. So you must have more of them and just keep feeding them baby brine shrimp and you might want to work on hatching more for tomorrow. I do have two extra bags of brine shrimp eggs that you can have too.

i just finished starting a new batch that will be ready for tommorrow. hopefully there are more hiding. for the long drive yesterday i would hate to have nothing to show for it.

Ok, now is time to get some sea horses in and will see if I can get some dragon once (I'm sure I can). My wife wants a tank with them in so I have to set her up with one.

i know, i think it would be good to have a seahorse pair and a pipefish pair in my fuge and then put the babies in a seperate tank
i can give you some macro algea when ever you set up that tank

I will find out more info about them and meanwhile I will research a project for reefnest and give away in a radio station. Need to talk to a friend in a Radio or TV station about that. Will work on it later on when I get back.

my concern now is food there is a lot of food at the bottom but hardly any at the top
i also ran out of brine shrimp to feed them for now, i will have some tommorrow afternoon
zooqi, do you think you could start a batch of brine shrimp tonight or tommorrow morning so i dont run out again?

You might want to stop by Loyalsock Library and see if you can borrow them. They are books from Jana and she had them when her daughter had sea horses.
